Job Summary

This is a key leadership role within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for supporting research delivery within health and care settings. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of the regional research delivery network portfolio, identify and address impact on regional health and social inequalities, and support the development of research capacity and capability within the trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic oversight of the regional research delivery network portfolio
  • Support regional portfolio oversight activities, including eligibility reviews and study performance monitoring
  • Identify and address impact on regional health and social inequalities at all stages of research delivery
  • Support the development of research capacity and capability within the trust
  • Engage with regional stakeholders to build research delivery capacity and capability
  • Assist in the development and mentorship of future/new principal investigators
  • Initiate, facilitate, and promote regional cross-specialty and cross-setting collaborations for improved research delivery
  • Contribute to national and regional research delivery strategic development
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research delivery, with experience in strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and trust staff.
