About the Role:

The Area Manager is a key position within our team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across multiple sites in Leeds. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for ensuring that all sites meet our stringent standards for product delivery and cleaning standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure effective service delivery across all sites.
  2. Develop and implement training plans to ensure cleaners are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  3. Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  4. Conduct inductions and manage probation periods for new employees, ensuring they are competent and knowledgeable about client requirements.
  5. Identify training needs within the team and collaborate with the Contracts Manager to address any issues.
  6. Collect and verify timesheets from employees before submission.
  7. Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to address any issues related to product delivery, cleaning standards, or client satisfaction.
  8. Maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including clients, employees, and management.
  9. Monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  11. Act as a point of contact for client inquiries or concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  12. Provide cover for site absences due to sickness or other reasons to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the cleaning services industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and company policies.
