Job Summary:

The Production Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production area. As a key member of our operational leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and guiding a team of operators to achieve production targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Provide day-to-day direction and support to the team to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor team performance and provide feedback to area production managers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on Support: Work alongside the team to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum output.
  • Resource Management: Ensure adequate resources, including manpower, machines, and materials, are available to meet production demands.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop plans to upskill the team, enhancing their capabilities and productivity.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate clear instructions and feedback to the team through regular meetings and reports to area production managers.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with established quality standards and lead on health and safety initiatives, including risk assessments and accident investigations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity improvements through the implementation of Lean activities and suggest innovative solutions to achieve targets.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration and open communication to achieve shared goals.
