Transportation Coordinator Job Description

At Serco, we are dedicated to providing exceptional prisoner escort custody services across London, East & West England. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of custodies to their destinations.

Working in our Operational Control Centre in Gloucester, you will be part of a dynamic team that works tirelessly to deliver a high-quality service. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and coordinate the transportation of custodies, ensuring that schedules are delivered on time and that custodies are transported safely and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the transportation of custodies to their destinations
  2. Plan and deliver schedules for the movement of custodies
  3. Work closely with our crews and establishments to ensure the safe and secure transportation of custodies
  4. Monitor and adapt to any unpredictable changes or incidents that may occur during the day

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with exceptional communication skills
  • Computer literate with the ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data/information
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as we provide full training
