About the Role

West London NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a high secure forensic hospital environment. This exciting opportunity will provide an exceptional chance for a professional to develop their skills and experience in mental health.

We are looking for someone who can work effectively with patients, carers and colleagues to deliver patient-centred care and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practice, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with patients with a primary diagnosis of severe mental illness or personality disorder. They will work closely with the Occupational Therapy Assistant and other members of the team to deliver group and individual treatment goals.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a high secure forensic hospital environment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to identify and achieve their goals and outcomes. You will assess and treat patients using occupational therapy principles and practice, and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) Or MSc Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Experience of working in mental health, preferably in a forensic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
