Job Overview
The Transformative Learning Technologies Lab is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Maker Technologies Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service at The Hive, a makerspace that offers a range of technologies, including 3D printers, virtual and augmented reality equipment, and more.

About the Role
This position requires a strong background in STEAM-related technologies, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be working with patrons of all ages and skill levels, providing instruction, support, and training on various technologies. Your attention to detail, patience, and enthusiasm will make you an asset to our team.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, including greeting, assisting, and orienting them to The Hive
* Maintain the orderly function of The Hive, including communicating with colleagues, enforcing policies, and troubleshooting technical issues
* Introduce patrons to the space, conduct orientations, and provide introductory training on various technologies
* Provide equipment and software support to patrons, including setting up and tearing down A/V recording studios between bookings

Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or coursework beyond high school strongly desired
* Strong background in STEAM-related technologies, including knowledge of emerging technologies
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varied technologies and patrons at different skill levels
