Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Transformative Learning Technologies Lab. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating and maintaining the makerspace, and introducing patrons to various technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide equipment and software support to patrons
* Oversee the makerspace during scheduled shifts
* Conduct orientations and troubleshoot technical issues
* Ensure smooth transitions between users and perform routine maintenance
* Provide instructions and assistance with various technologies
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is strongly desired
* Sufficient experience in prior employment to indicate ability to perform job duties
* Knowledge of STEAM related equipment, software, and best practices
* Comfortable with computers and technology, including emerging technologies
* Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
* Works in assigned areas, including office areas, training rooms, and outside venues
* Normal office exposure to noise and interruptions
* Attends programs to enhance skills associated with the position
Compensation:
* $23.43 per hour to $25.22 per hour in five steps
