Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Finance Team at The Children's Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting systems, treasury management, and accounts payable and fundraising finance income processing.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of professional competence and integrity in the finance team
- Assist in the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP
- Lead in the preparation of the annual cash flow forecast, and preparation of monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual
- Manage the purchase ledger function, ensuring the ledger is kept clean and at an acceptable level
- Assist with the credit control function, in liaison with relevant service leads
- Oversee the Fundraising Accountant role, ensuring accuracy of reconciliations between Fundraising and Finance
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring its accuracy
- Submission of the quarterly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in financial reporting, treasury management, and accounts payable and fundraising finance income processing. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
