Job Summary

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales turnover and market share for our esteemed brand. This dynamic individual will be responsible for consistently delivering a consumer-focused approach, ensuring a credible and professional brand image is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Consumer Focus: Reflect a credible and professional brand image to all internal and external consumers.
  2. Sales and Service: Maximise sales through selling, providing excellent service, and maintaining retail standards.
  3. Efficiency: Contribute to efficiencies by adhering to store, brand, and company procedures and guidelines.
  4. Target Awareness: Understand daily and weekly targets.
  5. Additional Sales Avenues: Ensure personal awareness of all additional sales avenues, including eventing, Omni, and digital channels.
  6. Competitor Analysis: Keep up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
  7. Social Media: Effectively use social media to drive the business, protect, and enhance the brand image.
  8. Brand Strategy: Deliver the brand strategy, ensuring the delivery of an effective local plan.
  9. Local Marketing and Events: Plan and implement local marketing and events initiatives, aligned to retailer activity.
  10. Service Excellence: Deliver excellence in execution of service, ensuring measures are in place to continually and visibly improve service levels, creating a zero consumer complaints mindset and a surprise and delight culture.
  11. Brand Ambassador: Be an ambassador for the brand, leading the way to ensure brand values are represented and brought to life.
  12. Refunds and Complaints: Ensure all refunds and complaints are managed in line with company guidelines and to a mutually satisfactory conclusion, informing/consulting with the Area Manager where appropriate.
  13. Digital Tools: Use digital tools to ensure knowledge is kept up to date.
  14. Consumer Recruitment and Retention: Deliver a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
  15. Product Knowledge: Develop up-to-date knowledge of product to ensure we deliver an industry-leading experience and the product meets the consumer's needs.
Operations
  1. Planning: Plan to ensure the delivery of excellent standards at all times (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing).
  2. Retail Standards: Review retail standards on a daily basis, ensuring they are maintained to the required standard.
  3. Deliveries and Stock: Ensure deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration are completed within agreed company timeframes.
  4. Auditable Processes: Ensure all auditable processes and administration are actioned to company guidelines and take corrective action in highlighted areas of risk.
  5. Information Requests: Ensure all information requests are fulfilled accurately, within deadlines set.
  6. Stock Loss: Minimise stock loss by ensuring all company security policies and procedures are implemented correctly and followed.
  7. Safe Working Environment: Create and maintain a safe working environment for consumers, ensuring that company and retailer policies and procedures are adhered to.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety responsibilities and all areas of operational activity achieve a minimum overall grading of 'Acceptable' during audits.
Commerciality
  1. Daily Replenishment: Manage daily replenishment, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  2. Sales Performance: Maximise sales performance by utilising all commercial reports before making commercial decisions.
  3. Visual Merchandising: Plan and deliver the visual merchandising layout, ensuring it is completed to guidelines and within agreed timescales.
  4. Stock Package Issues: Identify stock package issues and take corrective action, informing the Area Manager when out of direct control.
  5. Promotions and Discounts: Effectively manage all promotions and discounts, ensuring they are actioned in line with company guidelines.
  6. Trend Analysis: Identify trends and make suggestions to enhance product performance.
Qualifications
  1. Experience: Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment.
  2. Self-Development: Ability to drive self-development.
  3. Commercial Understanding: Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry.
  4. Communication and Organisation: Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
