Exciting Opportunity for Undergraduate Students

British American Tobacco is seeking highly motivated and talented undergraduate students to join our Research and Development function in Southampton. As an Undergraduate Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our Population Health and Consumer Behaviour Team on a 12-month placement, focusing on supporting the team on use behaviour studies and product development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct human studies to provide key insights for business-critical projects
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to design and carry out studies to understand aspects of consumer behaviour and product use
  • Active involvement in all aspects of study life cycle – from planning and conducting to data analysis, to review and reporting
  • Drafting of key study documentation including protocols, statistical analysis plans, study reports, and manuscripts
Requirements:
  • Students working towards an undergraduate degree in Science, Public Health, Consumer Behaviour, or a related discipline
  • Strong time management and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills
  • Experience with data analysis/interpretation and conducting research experiments is beneficial
