British American Tobacco is seeking a highly motivated and talented undergraduate student to join our Research and Development function in Southampton. As an Undergraduate Intern – Preclinical Sciences, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the development of innovative products.

About the Role

This 12-month placement is an excellent opportunity for students studying Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related subject to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will work closely with our Preclinical Sciences Team, focusing on developing and implementing in vitro toxicology approaches for the assessment of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct lab-based research, including experiments and data analysis
  • Perform in vitro mammalian cell culture and toxicological assays
  • Process data and conduct statistical analysis
