About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented undergraduate student to join our Research & Development function in Southampton as an Undergraduate Intern – Applied Chemometrics. This 12-month placement will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, develop your analytical skills, and contribute to the development of new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments in our analytical lab, utilizing spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques.
  • Develop and validate scientific analytical methodologies, including machine learning applications and data mining techniques.
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality results and contribute to the development of new products.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a lab environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply machine learning python scripts.
