Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Fyba Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in the Guildford area. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in advising project management on contractual, value, cost, and contract time problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise project management on contractual, value, cost, and contract time problems.
  • Prepare valuations and ensure payments are received on projects in accordance with contract conditions.
  • Cost variations, trends, and extra works in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Assist with or prepare monthly cost and cashflow reports for senior management review.
  • Commercially manage sub-contractor accounts ensuring all notices, payment certs, and correspondence are completed within contractual timescales.
  • Assist with and/or prepare contractual claims.
  • Advise Procurement Department on terms and conditions of sub-contracts.
  • Approve sub-contracts issued by Procurement Department via the Senior QS for accuracy and quality against Company standards.
  • Monitor all cost data to control a project from award to final completion.
Requirements:
  • A formal qualification (preferably HND or above) in Quantity Surveying, or other relevant discipline.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
