About the Role

Riverside is seeking a skilled Retirement Living Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our housing management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth delivery of our comprehensive housing management service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for customers, providing a professional and supportive approach.
  • Assist in the provision of comprehensive housing management, including working with tenancy agreements and maintaining accurate records.
  • Carry out day-to-day office administration functions to ensure confidentiality and security of customer information.
  • Report repairs and maintenance needs on behalf of customers, following agreed procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring and delivering service contracts, including lifts, heating, fire equipment, and gardening.
  • Work in line with health and safety standards, monitoring and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Promote and encourage customer involvement, consultation, and communication.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor standards of maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Use appropriate IT systems and maintain professional and timely records.
  • Adhere to Riverside's safeguarding policies and procedures in every aspect of service delivery.
  • Monitor and meet relevant health and safety standards in properties.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Travel to provide cover to other schemes as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Riverside's Equality and Diversity policy.
  • Understand your role in the organisation and be accountable for your contribution to service delivery.
  • Undertake personal development and training as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable and older people.
  • Flexible and responsive attitude.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support.
