About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technician in Hitchin ADM Downside X3 roles. As a Technician, you will play a critical part in the daily upkeep of the rail network, working outdoors in a team to support essential maintenance and ensure the railway runs safely and smoothly for passengers and freight users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team for safe and efficient work delivery.
  • Deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.
  • Specialize in track maintenance, inspection, and repair.
  • Role model safe behaviors and implement safe systems of work.
  • Develop skills and competencies relevant to the discipline, keeping up to date with new standards, procedures, and instructions.
Requirements
  • Leadership skills and experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Technical skills in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
  • Safety-focused and able to challenge potential risks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 1 or 2) or equivalent experience.
