Railway Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railway network. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, inspect, and repair the track network, including the Permanent Way (P-Way) and associated drainage and ancillary structures.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair track infrastructure, including rails, sleepers, and ballast.
- Inspect and report on track conditions, identifying potential safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of railway safety procedures and protocols.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive planning and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Valid driving license (category B) and ability to drive Network Rail vehicles.
As a member of our maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will receive comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in the role. In addition, you will be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration and open communication.
Working ConditionsAs an operative, you will work outdoors in all weather conditions, at all times of the year, day, or night. You will be required to work in a variety of environments, including trackside and in workshops. You will also be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
