About the Role

The NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior leadership and expertise to the finance and performance recovery programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior leadership and expertise to the finance and performance recovery programme.
  • Build and motivate team members to meet programme goals.
  • Develop and deliver programmes of work to attain recovery of the system finance and performance plan.
  • Manage the programme management office and ensure good practice in project delivery.
  • Identify and work up opportunities to deliver programme goals.
  • Develop strategies using complex data manipulation skills and data reporting skills.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the programme management office.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Master's level or equivalent level of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
  • Understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in Greater Manchester.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.

Competencies

Essential

  • Experience of managing and motivating staff and reviewing performance of the individuals.
  • Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues, working to tight and often changing timescales.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.
