SEND Education Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Stretton, Derbyshire. As an experienced professional, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and selective mutism.
Your role will involve working 1:1 or in small groups with students, adapting your support to their specific needs. You will collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies for inclusive learning, fostering positive relationships with students and encouraging engagement and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on their unique needs and abilities.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for students.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents/guardians, and teaching staff to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring.
- Assist in managing classroom activities, promoting a safe and inclusive environment that encourages socialization and learning.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience working with students with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and selective mutism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time as required, with a commitment to providing high-quality support to students.
