Job Title: Mortgage Services Development Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Services Development Manager to join our team at Dixons. As a key member of our mortgage services team, you will be responsible for providing assistance with supervisory responsibilities and achieving revenue and product sales as a Mortgage Advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Develop Less Experienced Colleagues: Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Supervisory Support: Provide supervisory support to a number of mortgage advisors, ensuring they meet all aspects of T & C requirements.

Functional Knowledge Required:

  • Financial Services Core Products: Excellent knowledge of financial services core products, including mortgages, life assurance, critical illness, income protection, and buildings & contents insurance.
  • House Purchase/Move Related Services: Knowledge of all house purchase/move related secondary services, such as conveyancing and estate agency operations.
  • Technical and E-commerce Knowledge: Good level of technical and e-commerce knowledge to promote the services of the group efficiently and effectively.
  • Financial Services Compliance: Knowledge of all financial services compliance rules and regulations, specific to a mortgage & protection business.
  • Training and Competence Framework: Understanding of working within a training and competence framework, coupled with a complete understanding of the requirements of the group T & C scheme skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Sales and Customer Facing Environment: Demonstrably good track record in a sales and customer-facing environment.
  • Organisation Skills: Strong organisation skills – ability to plan and self-organise.
  • Negotiation and Influencing Skills: Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Business Opportunities: Ability to identify and maximise potential business opportunities.
  • Coaching and Motivating Others: Ability to coach and motivate others (specifically business generation).
  • Client Needs: Ability to identify and analyse client needs effectively in order to deliver good customer outcomes.

Background, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Financial Services Experience: Two years financial services experience, with ideally nine months as a senior mortgage advisor.
  • Consistent Performance: Demonstrated consistent performance in respect of business production and quality.
  • Latest Products and Market Developments: Awareness of latest products and market developments.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications to fulfil the role, e.g. Certificate in Financial Planning, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) or industry-recognised industry equivalent.
