About the Role

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Primary Mental Health Worker to join our community-based team. As a key member of our team, you will provide a primary mental health service for children and young people, working closely with colleagues to offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues
  • Offer a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions at tier 1 and 2 to children, young people, and their families
  • Hold a small case load and direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs
  • Work with your PMHW colleagues to deliver formal and informal training and education to all agencies involved with the emotional care of children and young people
