Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at i4 Jobs. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for leading the definition and implementation of production processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Main Responsibilities
  1. New Product Introduction: Develop and implement production processes for new products, ensuring compliance with APQP and PPAP requirements.
  2. Serial Production: Lead continuous improvement activities to improve product margin and support the development of lean manufacturing techniques, including process waste elimination, one-piece flow, and visual factory.
  3. Duties:
    • Develop process flow and PFMEA
    • Provide production training
    • Support local 8D problem-solving tools
    • Define and source machine and workstation requirements
    • Develop tooling and fixture requirements
    • Create visual work instructions and SOPs
    • Develop manufacturing floor layouts
    • Packaging development and sourcing
    • Tools and fixture development
    • Process optimization to meet customer Tact-Time
    • Budget creation and justification
    • Establish manning levels
    • Bottleneck elimination and work balance analysis
  4. Engineering Change Management: Develop and optimize material flow diagrams, TPM development, and implementation.
  5. MSA studies on measuring equipment.
  6. Production files creation in line with PPAP requirements and customer requirements.
  7. Develop first / off procedure, identify SC and CC, and set up monitoring systems based on SPC charts.
Requirements
  • AutoCAD LT version knowledge (2019 onwards)
  • SolidWorks software working knowledge
  • IT network and associated IT hardware/software knowledge
  • Microsoft package (Excel, PowerPoint essentially)
  • MTM/work balance analysis
  • Basic Quality control system
Experience / Background
  • Automotive/Aerospace experience in a high-precision mechanical environment
  • Proven experience in launching new products
  • Lean practitioner (5S/SMED/1-piece flow concept/etc.)
  • Quick learner who can apply or transfer/adapt skills to the business
Education

We will consider qualifications in HND, degree level, or equivalent relevant experience.

Working Hours and Environment

38 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (30-minute lunch), Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Travel

Rare travels to customers/suppliers may be required.
