Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at i4 Jobs. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for leading the definition and implementation of production processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Main Responsibilities
  1. New Product Introduction: Develop and implement production processes for new products, ensuring compliance with APQP and PPAP requirements.
  2. Serial Production: Lead continuous improvement activities to improve product margin and support the development of lean manufacturing techniques, including process waste elimination, one-piece flow, and visual factory.
  3. Duties: Develop process flow and PFMEA, provide production training, support local 8D problem-solving tools, define and source machine and workstation equipment, and develop visual work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  4. Engineering Change Management: Develop and optimize material flow diagrams, TPM development and implementation, and MSA studies on measuring equipment.
  5. Production Files Creation: Create production files in line with PPAP requirements and customer specifications, ensuring traceability.
Requirements
  • AutoCAD LT version knowledge (2019 onwards)
  • SolidWorks software working knowledge
  • IT network and associated IT hardware/software knowledge
  • Microsoft package (Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge
  • MTM/Work balance analysis knowledge
  • Basic Quality control system knowledge
Experience/Background
  • Automotive/Aerospace experience in a high-precision mechanical environment
  • Proven experience in launching new products
  • Lean practitioner (5S/SMED/1-piece flow concept)
  • Quick learner who can apply or transfer/adapt their skills to the business
Education

We will consider qualifications in HND, degree level, or equivalent relevant experience.

Working Hours and Environment

38 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (30-minute lunch), Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Travel

Rare travels to customers/suppliers may be required.
