About the Role

As a Foundation Healthcare Academic Sessional Lecturer, you will play a key role in teaching our Foundation HSK100 module, dedicating 4 hours per week over 5 weeks. This module provides students with invaluable insight into various healthcare professions (Nursing, Physiotherapy, and more) while preparing them for university interviews and personal statement writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess students on the Foundation HSK100 module
  • Contribute to teaching material development, course design, and module delivery
  • Engage with international students and provide support to those from diverse backgrounds
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience
  • Proven experience in teaching and assessment within UK higher or further education
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one)
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic educational environment
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • A Master's degree or higher in a relevant subject
  • PhD or Professional Doctorate in a related field
  • NHS experience
  • Expertise in curriculum design
