Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking for a challenging role that will utilize your expertise in category management? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality services and driving business growth? We are seeking an experienced Head of Category to join our team at Shared Services Connected Ltd.
About the Role:The Head of Category will be responsible for leading our Health category team, developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality. You will work closely with clients and suppliers to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the category team to deliver high standards of performance and collaboration.
- Support and contribute to a progressive commercial strategy for the specification, procurement, and management of all contracted and outsourced activity.
- Identify opportunities for improved service delivery, savings, and value-added projects, delivering against key performance and financial targets.
- Deliver best-in-class procurement and contract management processes, leading category plans and ensuring they are actively progressing, handled, updated, and delivered.
- Secure procurement excellence through the implementation of efficient and effective procurement projects within key markets.
- Proactively identify areas of growth and risk and develop plans to be implemented across the Framework portfolio.
- CIPS Level 6 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
- Experience of operating within a Public Sector Buying organisation environment.
- Working background with the NHS and/or Public Sector.
- Sound understanding of UK Public Contracts Regulations, The Procurement Act, and Provider Selection Regime.
- Experience of the Health market and its supply chains.
- A leadership background.
We offer a competitive salary of circa £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and development needs. You will also receive a £6,600 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical (couple), life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
