Senior Procurement Category Manager (Health)

NHS SBS is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead their health category management team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of buying staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful category management.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term category strategies to drive savings, efficiencies, and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with key partners to influence procurement choices and drive business outcomes.
  • Provide procurement support to Customer Service Directorates, Heads of Procurement, and Key Leaders across the national footprint.
  • Ensure compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and relevant policy guidance.
  • Manage teams and resources effectively, leveraging e-sourcing and e-procurement solutions to optimize procurement processes.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
