Investment Director, Lower Mid-Market Private Equity Software Investor

Finatal is seeking an experienced Investment Director to join a high-performing team at a sought-after private equity fund operating in the lower mid-market.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity tech/software investing/M&A experience and be able to lead deals from origination to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and execute deals out of the newest fund and beyond in their relevant jurisdiction.
- Support the development of the fund's presence across the UK and Europe.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with the advisory community.
- Manage and proactively build other origination channels and networks.
- Identify interesting sector niches and carry out targeted off-market origination activities.
- Qualify opportunities and apply to a range of deal structures according to the situation.
- Lead deals from origination, structuring and negotiation, through to completion.
- Co-ordinate internal resources and external advisors to conduct due diligence.
- Lead the commercial aspects of financial due diligence and own detailed operational models.
- Post-deal, keep close to portfolio company strategy and focus.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-12 years professional experience, with a significant portion of this (minimum 4 years) being corporate finance/M&A experience.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Strong academics (min 2.1 from a leading university).
- Excellent communicator with a high level of maturity.
- Highly ambitious and calm under pressure.
