Randstad Construction and Property is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Safety Coordinator to join our team in London. As a Maintenance and Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, a strong understanding of building systems, and certifications in facilities management (e.g., BIFM, IFMA, NEBOSH). They will also have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.

About the Role:

  • Job Summary: The Maintenance and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    1. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies, conduct regular site inspections, and maintain compliance documentation.
    2. Site Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficient facility management, and supervise maintenance, repair, and servicing of equipment and systems.
    3. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise on-site facilities management staff, assign tasks, and monitor work performance to ensure high standards.
    4. Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as primary point of contact for clients, address concerns promptly, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, tenants, and vendors, and provide timely updates and reports.
    5. Budget and Inventory Management: Monitor expenses, assist in budget preparation, manage inventory of materials, tools, and supplies, and ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
    6. Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular audits of site operations, ensure efficiency and adherence to KPIs, recommend improvements to optimize processes and reduce costs.
    7. Emergency Response: Be available to respond to facility-related emergencies outside normal working hours, coordinate emergency repairs and resolutions, and implement corrective actions.
