Job Title: Childcare Programme Development Specialist

About the Job:
Rochdale is seeking a skilled Childcare Programme Development Specialist to implement a wraparound childcare programme. The successful candidate will work with local authorities, schools, families, and childcare providers to assess supply and demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the wraparound childcare programme in Rochdale, ensuring sustainability and meeting the needs of working parents.
  • Collaborate with partners to expand wraparound childcare provision accessible to children and families, including those with SEND.
  • Map current wraparound and childcare provision, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead consultations with stakeholders to determine demand for wraparound childcare and gather feedback.
  • Provide business planning and marketing advice to early years childcare providers and schools.
  • Work closely with finance officers to complete funding applications and business plans.
  • Maintain high-quality inclusive practice among providers, monitoring progress and addressing poor practice.
  • Communicate the wraparound offer through various channels, promoting take-up and availability.
  • Monitor and report on programme performance, collaborating with the DfE to provide accurate data.

Requirements:
A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and experience managing budgets, financial planning, and projections. Familiarity with current legislation and relevant policies relating to early years, wraparound provision, and vulnerable children. Enhanced DBS registration required.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
