Key Account Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Sales Director to join our growing division of a Global Testing company. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing established key accounts, bringing in new business, and driving profitable sales.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 (DOE), depending on experience, plus a company bonus (20-60% of salary), private healthcare, pension (up to 12%), car allowance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of key accounts and develop strategies to drive profitable sales growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Environmental testing/Mechanical/Aerospace industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver business development presentations and negotiate contracts.
- Analyse market industry intelligence to stay ahead of competitors and identify emerging trends.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A wealth of experience in business development and key account management in a technical sales role at senior level.
- Proven track record of driving profitable sales growth in the Environmental testing/Mechanical/Aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles and willingness to learn the technical element of the job if needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
- Happy to travel up to 75% of the time, overnight travel may be required.
This role is based in the Midlands region, with frequent UK travel required. You will need to be comfortable traveling to various locations, including North West, Cumbria, North Wales, and South, with most travel situated around the Midlands area.
