Job Title: Children's Home Registered ManagerAbout the Role

We are seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team in Nottingham. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our young people.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Service and Practice
    1. Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
    2. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and provide adequate training to staff.
    3. Keep accurate records and implement monitoring and evaluation systems.
    4. Provide management information and collect statistical data as required.
    5. Develop and promote new childcare approaches and contribute to the senior team.
    6. Chair internal and external meetings and take on-call responsibilities.
    7. Write concise reports and oversee written communication.
    8. Make decisions when appropriate and oversee admissions and discharges.
    9. Lead a vision for the organisational ethos and innovate change.
  2. Required Attributes
    1. Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education.
    2. Experience in managing a team.
    3. Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
    4. Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals.
    5. Demonstrate high standards of safe working practice.
    6. Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
    7. Maintain emotional resilience in challenging situations.
    8. Demonstrate respect for boundaries and authority.
    9. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
    10. Understand and commit to equal opportunities.
    11. Holds a current UK driving licence or has access to suitable transport.
    12. Flexible and reliable.
    13. Participate in management forums and contribute to policy development.
    Benefits
    1. 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.
    2. £2000 bonus for an outstanding Ofsted report.
    3. Full occupancy bonus of £300 per month.
    4. On-call payments of £25 weekdays and £35 weekends.
    5. 39 hours full-time with sleep-in duties as per the rota.
    6. Some office days for administrative duties.
    7. Petrol allowance for using own car.
    8. Pension in line with the organisational scheme and government guidance.
