We are seeking an exceptional Senior Outdoor Education Professional to join our team at Heath Farm School, part of Acorn Education within the Outcomes First Group.

About the Role

As a Senior Outdoor Education Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering outdoor learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the curriculum and developing innovative approaches to education.

You will work closely with our experienced Outdoor Learning Lead and support staff to design and implement engaging outdoor activities, fostering a love for nature and promoting social-emotional growth among our students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead outdoor learning sessions, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives and adapting to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, prioritizing health and safety protocols and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, participation, and achievement, using this data to inform future programming.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices and supporting their professional development.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and out-of-school activities, contributing to the enrichment of our students' educational experience.
Requirements
  • Possess a Level 3 Forest Schools Programme Leadership Certificate (or equivalent) and a current Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
  • Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and parents alike.
  • Hold a GCSE Maths and English grade 4/c or above, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
