We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our team at our Nursery and Outdoor Learning centre in Milton Keynes.

Job Overview:

We're looking for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality early years care, teaching, and learning. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for promoting parent partnerships, outdoor learning, and continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring the highest standards in early years education.
  2. Promote the benefits of outdoor play through the Nature Kindergarten, providing children with engaging and enriching experiences.
  3. Safeguard and ensure wellbeing of all children and team members, creating a safe and supportive environment.
  4. Foster close partnerships with parents/carers, your team, and colleagues within Acorn, encouraging collaboration and open communication.
  5. Develop and maintain professional relationships with Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies, and other agencies, ensuring effective partnerships.
  6. Continuously develop professional learning, staying up-to-date with developments in early years education and sharing knowledge with the team.
  7. Manage marketing drives to drive occupancy and brand awareness, promoting the nursery's unique approach to early years education.
  8. Effectively manage budgets, ensuring efficient staff deployment and resource utilization.
  9. Engage and motivate the team, tracking and supporting their continued professional development, and leading them to achieve consistent excellence in practice.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3, ideally Level 6, with a relevant early years qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior or management role, with at least a year's management experience.
  • Either a qualified Forest School Leader or someone with experience in forest schools, eager to develop their skills further.
  • Proven track record of achieving exceptional standards in early years care and education.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with a professional, ethical, enthusiastic, and dedicated approach to putting the needs of children first.

The salary for this position is £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive great training and progression opportunities, enhanced pension contributions, and a 65% childcare discount as part of our comprehensive benefits package.
