We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Kier Group. This role will involve providing financial support to our local and regional management teams, ensuring cost capture is optimized, and preparing weekly and monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide front-line financial support to local and regional management teams.
- Ensure cost capture is optimized to deliver expected margins on the contract.
- Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including contract performance, productivity analysis, and cost base.
- Control of balance sheet, reconciliation process, and cash reporting, along with ensuring robust control of CVRs (Cost and Value Summaries), balance sheet, and working capital.
- Partner with Commercial teams in the preparation of short to medium-term forecasts and provide insight and analysis on performance drivers.
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), final stage part-qualified accountants will be considered.
- Excellent commercial knowledge and experience of operating in a Construction environment, with project accounting experience (Water industry would be preferable).
- Advanced data analytic and Excel skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to build positive stakeholder relationships.
