Job Summary:
The University of Kent is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Programmes Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to research programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures, working sensitively with postgraduate students, and providing a broad range of support and administrative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to research programmes, including maintaining records and files, updating databases and trackers, and ensuring compliance with University and Divisional regulations.
- Student Support: Act as a point of contact for research students, advising on a wide range of matters to support a positive student experience.
- Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with research students, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Education: Educated to GCSE in English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous administrative experience in a customer-facing role.
- Skills: Good IT skills, particularly MS Office packages (intermediate level), and excellent communication skills.
