Senior Waiter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Waiter to join our team at Bombay Story Indian Kitchen & Bar. As a Senior Waiter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that the service is performed in a professional manner and to the style specified by the Restaurant Manager.
- Provide excellent wait service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages.
- Make menu recommendations, answer questions, and share additional information with restaurant patrons.
- Be fully conversant with every dish served in the restaurant and provide explanations as requested.
- Communicate with other restaurant staff and departments.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager and their Assistants in keeping the morale of the team up through social and educational events.
- Ensure that Company Policy, the Vision Statement, and Departmental Objectives are followed and utilized at all times.
- Assist with mise en place through distribution of tasks and ensure the monitoring and completion of tasks is done properly and in time allocated.
- Take responsibility for service in the area of the restaurant under your responsibility during your shift.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager and their Assistants in the preparation and presentation of training programs, briefings, and SOPs.
- Manage the team on a daily basis, particularly on the managers' days off and holidays.
- Assist in implementing the necessary training of the team and onboarding new staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Adhere to HACCP procedures and ensure all necessary paperwork is filled in and up to date.
- Experience in the food industry is essential.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- 1-2 years of previous experience in fast-casual high street food brands is preferable.
- Positive, happy, and hardworking attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- English as a first or second language (spoken, written, and reading).
- Well-groomed and presentable.
- Discretion and loyalty.
- The ability to multitask.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Flexible working hours (including working on bank holidays).
- Necessary working permits.
