About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled electromechanical engineer to join our client’s engineering team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for attending breakdowns, servicing, and installations of industrial cleaning equipment within a 1-hour radius of your area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Attend breakdowns, service, and installations on industrial cleaning equipment.
  2. Use manual hand tools, electrical hand tools, lifting equipment, and hot working tools to carry out repairs and maintenance.
  3. Carry out electrical, electronic, and mechanical fault finding and repairs on industrial cleaning equipment, including IG engines.
  4. Ensure Health & Safety Procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  1. Electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience is advantageous.
  2. A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge, similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, or mechanical fitter.
  3. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering, would be an advantage.
  4. Experience using electrical and mechanical tools, as well as previous experience as a mechanical, electrical, or field-based engineer.
