">About the Job:
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused individual to secure a job within the hospitality and catering sector on a part-time temporary basis. As a Dining Room Support Staff member, you will assist with the daily operations of our restaurant and catering services within independent living schemes.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and cooking meals following pre-planned menus, taking into account customer preferences, and working closely with colleagues, residents, volunteers, and external customers to deliver a customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catering and Food Preparation: Assist with the daily operations of the restaurant and catering services, prepare and cook meals following pre-planned menus, and support special catering functions and events.
- Customer Service and Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, residents, volunteers, and external customers to deliver a customer-focused service, engage with customers to understand their needs, and contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience.
- Operational Support: Assist with the delivery of meals across independent living schemes, ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, and offer good value for money to residents.
- Compliance and Safeguarding: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and organizational policies, be vigilant about safeguarding responsibilities, and report concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Service Modernisation: Support digital initiatives to improve the efficiency of services provided to residents.
- Flexibility: Be available to work weekends, bank holidays, and out-of-office hours to meet service needs.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in catering, food preparation, or hospitality, have strong interpersonal skills, can multitask, and assist in running a busy kitchen or catering service. A willingness to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, and knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene standards, and safeguarding responsibilities are also essential.
Salary: £12 per hour PAYE (£15.01 per hour at Umbrella LTD)
