About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our School Meals team as a Catering Assistant at St Peters. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, including food handling and presentation.
  • Contribute to the daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Support the team in the storage and organization of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Participate in the preparation of buffets and working lunches as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the team leader, including assisting with special events and functions.
Requirements
  • Basic food preparation and service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 1.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and food safety management systems.
  • Desirable skills: creativity, presentation skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
