Job Title: General Catering Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team at St Peters. As a key member of our School Meals team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of food, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Support the serving of meals and the collection of used crockery and cutlery at the end of the lunch period.
- Contribute to the daily preparation of the dining room and counter, including cleaning and maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
- Undertake cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas, including the washing of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
- Store goods delivered and assist with the preparation of buffets and working lunches.
- Undertake such other duties related to the work of the department, appropriate to the post, as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Basic food preparation and service of food.
- Working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 1.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures / systems.
- Knowledge of food safety management systems.
- Creativity and presentation skills.
