Job Title: General Catering Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team at Mersey Vale. As a key member of our School Meals team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of food and the serving of meals to students.
- Help to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including the washing of utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
- Support the daily preparation of the dining room and counter.
- Undertake cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Store goods delivered and assist with the preparation of buffets and working lunches.
- Perform other duties related to the work of the department, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Basic food preparation and service skills.
- Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 1.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and food safety management systems.
- Creativity and presentation skills.
