Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Gap Personnel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out dimensional inspection of aerospace components, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and working to set daily targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical sheets.
  • Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
  • Proficient in the use of handheld measuring devices, including callipers, gauges, and micrometres.
  • Work to set daily targets and record non-conformances in a descriptive manner.
  • Signing C of C (training provided) and completing first off and final inspection.

Person Specification:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use of handheld measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CMM.
  • Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • PC literate with immediate skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, push, and or pull 1 - 50 lbs frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
