Role Overview:
  • As a dedicated SEN tutor, you will provide personalized learning support to students in various settings across Redbridge.
  • You will adapt your teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs, helping students develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Promote independent learning and build student confidence by tailoring your approach to each student's unique requirements.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working with SEN students, ideally in outreach or tutoring capacity, is essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs) is also crucial.
  • A strong communicator, you will build rapport with students, parents, and school staff through effective communication skills.
  • Your passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential will shine through in your work.
  • Desirable: A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS) or relevant SEN training (SEND CO, SEN TA experience) can be beneficial but not necessary.

Location and Salary: Redbridge, East London. The competitive salary for this role is £40-50 per hour depending on experience, with 10-15 hours per week per student. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while enjoying a flexible schedule.
