Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Eating Disorders Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Eating Disorder Service (CEDS) in Somerset. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychology support to young people with eating disorders and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a comprehensive community mental health service for children and young people experiencing eating disorders and eating difficulties.
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment, clinical formulation, and a range of psychological interventions for young people with eating disorders and their families.
  • Liaise with professionals and take a lead in multi-disciplinary case discussions and planning meetings.
  • Provide specialist consultancy to the multidisciplinary team and other professionals about problem assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions and client management.
Service Development:
  • Work with the team and managers to develop service priorities, implement best practice guidelines, and propose potential service developments.
  • Contribute to strategic planning as part of regular Senior Leadership team meetings in CEDS.
  • Develop or coordinate provision of specialist service developments or care packages as appropriate.
  • Supervise junior colleagues in collating audit data on outcomes and service provision audits.
Person Specification:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Specialist training and/or experience in interventions appropriate for eating disorders.

This is a full-time post with hours worked Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The main office base is in Taunton, but the service covers the whole of Somerset, so some travel will be required.
