Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enforcement Manager to join our team at the Department for Business and Trade. As a key member of our Heat Networks team, you will play a pivotal role in building a sustainable and efficient energy landscape for the country.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a highly professional team of enforcement officers and technical experts in creating and implementing operational plans, including financial management and performance reporting.
- Develop and implement robust technical standards and regulations to protect consumers and ensure accurate heat metering.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Department for Energy and Net Zero, OFGEM and internal teams to drive compliance with the heat networks sector.
- Provide expert guidance and support to industry representatives, policymakers, consumers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop and implement effective plans to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- A degree or its equivalent in an engineering or related subject.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data, identify trends and inform decision making.
- Strategic mindset to develop and implement effective plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with industry representatives, policymakers, consumers and other stakeholders.
- Motivational skills to lead teams and collaborate with colleagues.
