Job Title: Engineering Stores Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Stores Controller to join our team at Valeo Foods UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering stores and ensuring the availability of spare parts and materials essential for the smooth running of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all purchasing requests for production consumables, working closely with engineers and engineering team leaders to ensure the right parts are ordered.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and materials, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient ordering processes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, seeking out the best quality materials at the best possible price.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement kitting lists for proactive maintenance, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
- Explore and promote the use of reverse engineering techniques to expand our supplier database, improving lead times, costs, and quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in engineering, machine parts, and ordering systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Holistech.
