Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Stores Controller to join our team at Valeo Foods UK. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the engineering stores and ensuring the availability of spare parts and materials essential for the smooth running of our plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet production demands.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Review and approve purchasing requests, ensuring that parts are ordered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that parts are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Store Operations: Ensure that the engineering stores are well-organized, clean, and maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering stores.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience in inventory management, purchasing, and supplier management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word, and experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Education and Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in engineering, inventory management, or a related field.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £32,000 per annum
- Full-time Hours: Monday to Friday
