Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to contribute to the success of our Transport team at our Rugby site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday nights.

About the Role:

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning the daily workload of our fleet, reporting problems, and dealing with issues that may arise. You will also plan collections on a time-critical basis and maintain and exceed agreed KPIs. Additionally, you will proactively look for continuous improvements and be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases
  • Report problems and deal with issues and any queries that may arise
  • Plan collections per day on a time critical basis
  • Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs
  • Proactively look for continuous improvements
  • Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess good geographical knowledge of the UK, proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to succeed in a pressurized environment. Additionally, you will have a customer focus on delivery performance, commercial and financial acumen, and experience of using a TMS system. Experience in an FMCG environment is also desirable.
