About this Opportunity

We're seeking a proactive and adaptable individual to provide crucial day-to-day support for our Divisional Finance Director in the Commercial Banking (CB) Finance division.

This dynamic role will place you at the heart of our Finance team, where you'll work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and Retail to deliver key objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile ad hoc briefing packs and ensure committee papers and actions are delivered on a timely basis.
  • Develop and deliver the Retail Finance Best Team plan, focusing on improving colleague engagement, development, and wellbeing.
  • Lead activity on behalf of the Divisional Finance Director to ensure compliance with the SMCR regime.
  • Develop and lead on all aspects of the Divisional Finance Director's team communication and engagement schedule.
  • Manage the Retail Finance cost and FTE budget, including recruitment and aligning to OD principles.
  • Act as a trusted sounding board and source of feedback and challenge for the Divisional Finance Director.
  • Manage the Divisional Finance Director's office and leadership team.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with demonstrable experience in a Financial Accounting/Reporting related role.
  • Strong influencing skills to deliver through others while building trusting and collaborative relationships.
