We are seeking an experienced Academic Leader to join our specialist school in Stockport, providing vital support and education for young people with complex behaviours and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As Academic Leader, you will play a key role in the strategic management of the school, leading and inspiring staff to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment. You will develop and implement initiatives to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth across Key Stages 1–3.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working with children with complex behaviours and SEMH, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to high expectations for all students. A proactive and compassionate approach to driving positive outcomes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's vision and strategy.
  • Staff Leadership: Lead and inspire staff to deliver high standards of education and care.
  • Initiative Development: Develop and implement initiatives to support student growth and well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Headteacher and other senior leaders to drive positive outcomes.

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role offers a rewarding challenge and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive, specialist setting.
