At BAE Systems, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for Test and Facilities to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a challenging role that involves designing, installing, and commissioning electrical and electronic systems for the Dreadnought submarine build. You will be responsible for executing testing and commissioning activities to validate equipment design, working with internal and external stakeholders, and following strict health and safety practices.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience and good technical knowledge of communications systems or control and instrumentation. You will also need to have experience of test and acceptance within a high assurance engineering environment and knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, and quality assurance.

In this role, you will be part of the Test & Facilities Hardware team that oversees the development and maintenance of the large lab area within the facility. The team covers infrastructure, cabling, configuration management, and the installation and commissioning of equipment prior to test. You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all test and commissioning activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including employee share plans, flexible working arrangements, and private health insurance.
